Hayfever Power Fighter

I moved to a flat in London with a great outdoor space and wonderful plants - enough to make you disconnect from the city. I also always considered myself lucky to be spared of hayfever. Until my recent move...and one dreadful night, the hayfever hit me so badly it was impossible to breathe let alone sleep. It was a matter of suffocating in my bed and dissolve from the face of the earth, or finding the most efficient solution at 11.38 pm. Eureka moment. Half a pineapple was sitting in my fridge (my weight loss BFF).

Pineapples contain Bromelain, a super powerful natural anti-histamine and great sinus decongestant.
It was a matter of gobbling down 2 slices of pineapple and 15 minutes later, I could breathe like nothing had happened.

Pineapple also is a superfood you can rely on that is diabetes superbeneficial and a super fat fighter.

Serves 2

Roughly cut the pineapple slices, so they blend evenly.
Place the chopped pineapple, blueberries and almond milk in a blender and pulse until smooth.
Add some more almond milk to thin out the smoothie - to your preferred consistency.

Pineapple is beneficial for all blood types, it is diabetes super beneficial.
Blueberries are beneficial for types A & O and neutral for types B & AB.
Almond milk is neutral for all types.

2 thick fresh pineapple slices
1 cup of blueberries
1 cup of pure organic almond milk

recipe tip: 
Add a spoonful of your favorite protein powder for a more nutritious smoothie!
