Cruciferous or “cole crops” are vegetables of the cabbage family. Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, collards, kale, and kohlrabi sprout from the wild cabbage, originating from Greece to the British Isles.

Pink, yellow, white, black, fat, round, mild or picante, radishes exist in many forms, shapes and flavors. .

ANTI-CANCER                                  

Cruciferous can control the proliferation of cancer growth. Sulforaphane, a sulphur that has been proven to kill cancer stem cells, slows down tumour growth. Radishes prevent the development of cancer cells, including intestinal cancer, kidney, stomach, oral and colon cancer. Thanks to a profusion of phytochemicals they inhibit tumor growths and metastasis.

 

BOOST YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM

Packed in vitamin C, broccoli is a good source of riboflavin, phosphorus, vitamin K and B6, potassium, manganese, niacin, magnesium, fiber, folate and pantothenic acid amongst others.
